Garage feature (rant: why aren't people making good garage entries?)

Call me an @ssh*le, but come on guys; if you are going to make a garage on here, then actually make it. I usually the garage to look for my body style (09+) to see what other people have done to get inspiration. But i hate when i find one and then click only to find its like one picture (if that) and it tells nothing about the vehicle. The garage thing is supposed to be used to show off your vehicle. There are 70 garages on here, 27 of which still have the upload photo image as the picture.

some of us come one here and spend almost an hour answering peoples questions. That takes time away from building a garage..

plus i am usually to busy driving my car to take pictures of it.

Aside from rabbit, I'd call that a valid complaint!

But seriously, I think it's just a case of people's different levels of interest in their cars, and it's reflected in how much info they post in their garage entries.

I don't get the "no photo" thing though. People who haven't taken pics could easily link to a stock image of their year/colour/body style Aveo found on Google Images or where ever. Photos can be added by URL - uploading something from your computer isn't required.

It is fairly new though isn't it? Give it a bit more time hopefully it'll iron out. I haven't set mine up yet though because I have a couple things I am doing before I want to post any pictures. That and I want to borrow my sister's digital slr and get some quality shots.

I would love to see more shots of the actual mods themselves too.

I know I put time and money into the work on my car, and I'm proud to show that. It's not much now, but I want it to be more, and seeing others and how they did it gives the the knowledge and confidence to give it a shot of my own.

Yea I feel the same way. I posted as many pics as i can of my ride because I love to show my car off and I think it looks good. But it would be nice for other people to post some more pics of what they have done to thier rides.

True that. My car is still a work in progress, I'm waiting on getting my rims and posting pics, have yet to show off my audio system too.
