Gas Cap - which is best?

I'm not sure where I should post my general question but I wanted to know about something everyone uses.

Gas Caps.

Which is the best replacement for one that is starting the not working dance. I get the check engine light after putting gas sometimes or at random. I am more than certain it is from the gas cap wearing out.

Is the best replacement a OEM cap or an aftermarket one found in places like Autozone?

I would greatly appreciate every bodies opinions and experiences. Thanks.

Get the OEM. These things can be temperamental. I actually had my '04s replaced under warranty. Chevy had extended the warranty to 10 years with a tsb.

I would probably feel more comfortable with a OEM part. I just want to spend the money on the right part that will solve problems and not cause them.

OEM I agree. I have been using the cheapo from Advance Auto for the truck and it's very unsatisfying mostly because I can't put together with the tether.

Depending on what year Aveo you have it's probably only about $10 shipped from Rockauto.

Thanks for the info PosionIvy. You're right but those caps aren't OEM, but replica. Good brands though. I'll keep them in mind.
