I agree. No car is invinceable, not even in Intrigue, although that qualifies as a tank in some ways. If I wanted something that is safe in spite of everything else, I'd save up a million or so and buy Obama's armored limosine.
here is a link to some videos of a Subaru WRX which got pinned between 2 semis. This is trippy, definitely check it out.

The Aveo 5 is a small car so it has its weak spots in a rear impact, but that is an issue with all hatchbacks. If you ask me it really doesn’t matter what you drive, when it’s your time it’s your time and even a tank want help you out. I really think your mothers boyfriend is just one of these people that winks bigger is better.

Getting in accidents is largely effected by YOU the driver. There are some situations where things can't be avoided, but most of the time if you are attentive you can avoid problems, and there are many things you can do to avoid getting into those situations in the first place. Sounds like mr know it all boyfriend needs to stop texting/talking/tailgating/etc. while he drives.

Plus one on defensive driving and a car capable of avoiding accidents. I have been in 2 wrecks where I was the driver. Both totaled the car. One I was at a red light, the other waiting to pull out of an apartment complex.
