i went to kaltire, not sure if you guys hav them in the USA gave them my tire size and they did a search and came up with a tire called winter claw i believe, total came to around $600 or you can go with michelin x-ice, i ran those for the last 3 winters and they are good tires also, pretty much the best non studded tire, unfortunatly you can't stud them.

What year is yours? How many miles on it? Original tires?

tread isnt what counts in the snow you can have 100% tread, but if its a summer tire its like having a racing slick

I think they are all season. They aren't labeled either way on the tire.

in my experiance on small vehicle an all season tire is garbage in the snow, on a truck you can usually get away with it, your best bet if you have the cash is to get some winter tires, and only run them when its below freezing, i don't know where you live if you even get enough snow to make it worth while, up here we had our first snow that stayed on the ground in mid october

If you bought the car new it didn't originally come with MasterCraft tires. If you bought the car as a used vehicle from a dealership that would explain why it has new Mastercraft tires on it. A Toyota I own had that situation: new Mastrercraft tires installed by the dealer. Mastercraft is made by Cooper. In my experience they leave a lot to be desired, even when new.

IMHO even the Kumho's that came with my new 2009 are not very good. Check out the tire ratings at Tire Rack. Buy some tires that are high quality and you will notice a difference.

kumho makes a nice summer only tire, decent for the price. However, the OEM kumhos that came on my aveo were definitely one of the worst tires I ever had.

Not a huge fan of any brand tire. I think its more about what performance you get at what cost. I find that aside from initial investment of a second set of rims, (even free ones) that a good set of cheaper summer only tires, and a equally good set of cheaper winter tires will cost about the same as a premium set of all seasons that will not do as well in either situation.

I like falken 502s. If i could only get them in the size i need. closest size 195/50r15 (which most of you could run) is $57 each plus shipping and install.. comes to $300 for a set of installed tires for me. My snows were $250 installed and are perfect for tiptoeing around in winter, and highway trips.. you can't exactly do spirited driving on windy roads.. but its winter you might hit ice.

not a bad movie. I laughed when I went outside this morning to see snow and ice build up on my tires because I thought of the stripper removing it with her pumps and then asking Seth Rogen if he wanted a private dance.
