Hail!
Just a few minutes ago we got hit by about 10 minutes of hail mostly dime sized. The last 3-4 minutes were ping pong sized and solid.
I got atleast one ding on the roof of my car, but it was dark and still raining when I checked. I gotta work tomorrow, but after I am going to look the car over bumper to bumper. If the damage is note worthy, I will talk to the insurance company when I go in to pay the bill. Thank god the windows are fine

Hail can do a lot of body damage to the roof. hood and trunk of a car. Don't be surprised if your insurance doesn't cover it.
-
I have full coverage so it should. I have a 1000 dollar deductible though so it will probly not be enough damage to bother. I should get a quote first.

I have hail damage on my van from a storm a few weeks ago, but i haven't bothered to call yet.
-
Yea. That 72F before the storm was nice though.

So, I talked to the body shop and my insurance company, They gave me a set of dates for my claim, problem is I will be gone all of those days. So I have to wait until after I get back. Oh well.
Oh And I have pics, but not sure how good they are, if they turn out I will post them.

Meh. On the positive side I'm going to try to get a few parking lot sings and scratches fixed to. Might as well.

Got the check finally. 2650 in damage, so it's a 1650 check. Now decisions decisions. Do I fix the dings, and if so what method to use. If I can find a method cheap enough or just not fix them, then I can start buying things to make the car run nicer. But some of those dings are an eye sore! I just cant decide what to do. so far I know I can fill and paint the damage for around 500, but i'm worried about it falling out and chipping. Dry ice is temporary from what I have heard. I like PDR but I don't know anyone who can do it for really cheap.
I'm gonna sleep on it a bit and go from there.

Not going to worry about it. I will have to do some heavy body work someday, but not yet. I walked out to my car to find a brand new scratch on the door, and just gave up. Make it run nice first, then look great later.
