Haven't been here in a while...

Hello all. My Aveo is still kicking. It's more like an old soldier now, than the new car it was 5 years ago...

I'm still on my 2nd timing belt at 141000 miles. Thats now 70k on this "Conti-tech" belt and component's. I'll probably let it go another few k miles. Seems to run fine. I just found a great deal on 4 mint snow tires on rim's for 200.

I need to change the oil and I think I have a sticky caliper..I put new rotors and pads on at 123k and the right side wore down unevenly and the metal is making contact with the rotor. thereby ruining the rotor.

Whats wierd is I can hear the pad make contact with the rotor when I turn the wheel. Makes me think maybe I have a twist in the rubber line? I dont think I would have re-assembled it like that.

Other than that... Car's been pretty reliable. It's only been 5k miles, but I just looked in my maintinence notes and I haven't changed the oil since last year. Yikes.

I feel the car is ready for this... What better way to go green than with a moss paint job....
