Help my ignorance about 2013 Aveo

In 2012, the Aveo changed platforms from the T250 platform to the Gamma platform; and here in the United States, it got a name change from Aveo to Sonic. In Europe and other countries, the Aveo name still stuck. (The reason why it got changed in the US, is because Automotive journalists criticized the Aveo for being a bland throwaway car to their point where the name was pretty much poisoned.)

Best thing I would do, is google Chevrolet Sonic taillights, and compare the pictures to what is on your car.
