Help Wanted
I normally wouldn't put this out here, but the tradesman shortage in Alberta has me desperate. We are looking for a Certified Automotive Technician for the shop. The candidate must be able to pass the Alberta Apprenticeship Board exam or hold an Interprovincial ticket. We specialize in high end diagnostics and Ford diesel trucks. The candidate must be a well qualified high achiever. The candidate would be replacing an excellent technician who after over 12 years at the shop has moved into teaching at a local college. Our staff turnover rate is low, the wages competitive, medical and dental benefits are included and this is NOT a flat rate shop. We are located in Three Hills, AB, in the middle of the Alberta prairie. The town has a population of 3500, crime is low to non-existent, and we are close to major centers like Calgary and Red Deer. We are just a 2 to 2.5 hours from world famous Banff National Park and all the recreation areas that are part of it. It is a safe place to raise a family. The shop is well equipped and progressive. Consideration for immigration assistance would be given to the right candidate. Please email resumes to brian@richauto.ca

Best of luck, I know finding a competent mechanic is harder and harder.

Thanks - the average age of a tech is now 51 years old and for every 2 guys that retire only 1 is taking his place. Here in Alberta we are so short of workers that we are actually importing people from all over the world to work - its the down side to our oil boom.
