Maybe a new thread could be started for bizarre problems? I haven't had the warm key thing, but the clock burnt-up on me. Couple years later my horn went off while parked and would not stop. I replaced the horn relay ($9.00) and the horn was fine for one week to the day then it went off again - so I pulled the horn fuse. Lately my dome light does not work though the bulb is fine: goofy stuff.
Just sold my '04 Aveo LS hatchback with 262,000 (mostly highway) miles on her. Bought it used in '07 for $7500 with 45K miles on it. Original engine never needed repair, replaced timing belt roughly every 60K miles and change oil every 5 - 6K miles. Engine runs awesome and never burned a drop of oil!!! Original radiator, heater core, starter, alternator, exhaust.......this car owed me absolutely nothing.

i work at the chevy dealer and the clock dying is normal, I've sold several, the hot key thing I've never seen..and the horn-domelight thing is a new one too!!maybe a fuse or the switch on the light, does the one in the hatch area work when you open the door??
my 2006 aveo is just over 300k. the alternator was just got swapped for a Nissan sr20tubo . the power steering pump is due to be replaced, the a/c compressor is to be overhauled, the caliper pinsare to be replaced and the suspension is about to be overhauled. i am using alternate parts of similar specs instead of oem pars. oh yeah just replaced the c/v joints and the wheel bearings. the front bearings belong to a daewoo racer and the rear bearings are nissan cube. the radiator is due to be replaced, thank god for 4minute steel epoxy. the constant friction between the fan housing and the radiator has resulted in the radiator being damaged. if u need a factory user or service manual give me a holler. we got em all. oh year and the car still drives sweet. to save on a barrel of money avoid the gm repair outlets they suck u dry. in trinidad lifestyle motors is the chevrolet agent.
How the heck does a person put 300,000 km on a car in Trinidad? How many laps of the island is that? :D
