i'll meet you (almost) half-way. i do about 650 to 750km a week.

I typically drive 700 miles per week and now am at 143600 miles. My commute is 140 miles round trip per day unless of course I work an extra day. I'm on my 5th set of tires, 5th set of brakes, oil changed every 3000 miles and changed my first timing belt at 91000 miles. I know I pushed that one on pure luck.

that's impressive mileage for that 1st timing belt. i heard of someone that went 99,000 miles on one, and then it broke. im on my 3rd one myself.

I drive around 700 miles a week. I bought my Aveo with 36k and now im at 41k. Only owned it about a month.

Roughly 105,000 miles on my wife's 2004. Just changed the timing belt saturday (think it was original but not positive as we bought the car used, but the old belt appeared to be "stretched"). The wife just called me and said the car runs "smoother". Very reliable little car, only one issue so far (tstat housing broke)...

yeah. mine went on me too about a year or so ago. the new one is steel. much better.

Yeah I bought a new one at autozone, it was the two piece metal design....some king of aluminum/copper/something else metal, not steel. Cost me I think about $60 total to fix...glad the wife knows to pull over when the temp gauge rises

There is an Aveo in Vernon, BC with 254,000 Kilometers and still running!
not mine personally though, im only at 164,000 KMS

sounds like yours blew up. mine was just leaking bad.
