New here, i bought my 07 aveo svm new in Oct 06 and it now has just over 140k on it now. I change the oil every 4-5000 miles with regular oil. Its had the right wheel hub changed twice and the left once.(while still under warranty) other than the normal things like serpentine belt and brakes and rotors its all still the original stuff on it(knock on wood). Hope to get a lot more miles out of her
My 2011 Aveo5 LT has 54,000 miles on it.
My 2009 LS just hit 175K Miles and had to replace the bearing in the rear drivers side wheel
I am a medical courier. I drive my 2007 Aveo 1500 miles a week. I currently have 428000 miles on it. I was an auto tech for 30 years so I repair it myself.
WOW. OK, you win!
I'll go out and take one in the morning and post it. It's remarkable to me that the engine lasted this long. I'm on my third transmission. Most everything has been replaced more than once, wheel bearings, shocks, struts. I lost count on tires. Lifetime warranty on brakes, alternator and starter. I'm killing em. Going on my eighth timing belt. I replace the idler and tensioner every other time. Water pump is lifetime so I do it too. Use synthetic oil, change every month around 6000.
Whenever I have a weird problem I come to this forum for info. I thought this post was interesting because of my mileage. I can't believe it myself. In all my years I never heard of a car going that many miles.
I was having an idle problem recently, it was surging. When I took off from a stop it was sluggish to respond to the throttle. I cleaned the throttle body real good this morning hopefully that will cure it. It only did it sometimes. The test drive went well, got my fingers crossed.
The camera got it tonight didn't think it would.
