Amazing. Do you pay for your own fuel? If you do, with that many miles/year, wouldn't a more efficient vehicle make more sense? What will you get to replace the Aveo?

You're right I pay for fuel. A better mpg car would be more profitable. But it just keeps going and doesn't let me down. Gotta love the Aveo. When it dies, I'll shop around for sure.

My '04 just hit 103000. Had timing belt replaced at 52000, both rear wheel bearings at 60,000. Front brakes replaced once, on third set of tires. Replaced coil pack, spark plugs and plug wires at 70,000. Thermostat housing blew apart at 98000. Runs pretty well, beginning to have rust issues on the inside bottom of the two front doors, guessing from road salt in the winter, despite weekly washings. Hope to have it at least a few more years.

05 has 105000 miles and will have replace plugs, timing set and belts and plugwires, camshaft sensor, thermostat housing and the water pump when all said and done. I had the head reworked but everything looks to be going back together pretty good. We will see in a few days when I get it all buttoned up. Oh and a new battery. I bought the car with the engine blown.

I just turned 100k on my 09 but I bought it with 1500 on it just a shade over 2 years ago. Between work and driving my son all over OH, PA, NY & MI for hockey I rack up miles pretty fast. The kicker is because of all the freeway driving I'm on the original brake pads & rotors. Need to change them soon but no grinding or noises yet. It'll get passed on to my son before I rival GeoAveo at 429k though. Well done sir!

Hey geoaveo....did that throttle body cleaning fix your problem? My car recently started doing the same thing. It was real sluggish from a stop but once I got up to speed, it ran fine. It also felt like the transmission was shifting a little later as well.

My 05 has trouble idling sometimes and will stall. It requires a foot on the pedal to stay running, and other times the engine surges up to 2,000 RPM for no reason at all. Cleaning the throttle body makes no difference. My cat is clogged and sets the MIL, if that might have anything to do with it.
