Missing our beloved 1st gen Aveos everyday!
Silence is golden. Duct tape is silver!!
04 Aveo (mine gone but never forgotten)
07 Aveo 5 (wifes car gone but never forgotten)
02 Suburban (Eats gas stations as snacks)
12 Cruze Eco 6MT (46mpg daily? Holy crap!)
12 Sonic 2LT (Wifeys new wheels)
Chevoo-1/2 Chevy, 1/2 Daewoo. I mean like WTF?
Its just slowly falling apart, im pretty much rebuilding it as I go, piece by piece. since my last post, when car was at 134,200 miles, I replaced the timing belt, both idler pulleys, and water pump. Bearings in both idlers were almost shot, and water pump housing was covered in rust. While removing the intake box and hose, the hose fell apart so I ordered an AEM cai (should arrive any day now). In the next few weeks, It will hit 135,000 miles.
I just hit 187k. Original motor blew at 183k . Never changed timing belt ha. Got a newer motor with 12k in it now!!!should be good for another 150k
How the heck can you people rack up 150 000 miles on a 6 year old or less car??? :O thats insane! Do you sleep in there or what...
Even if i take my car everyday 150 000 miles takes me 10-12 years to do.
I have around 83 000 miles on the body of my 2004... its going to be 7 years old in April 2011
Thats less then 1/2 of what some people have lol

Updating this number - I'm now at 102,000 miles and I plan to try and get rid of this car tomorrow. Absolutely no way I'm dealing with any future maintenance. Somehow this car lasted this long, and I do not know how! With the amount of horror stories I've read on here and other places on the web, I'm not walking away from this car, I'm RUNNING! Mazda, here I come!
Don't blame you. I'm gonna run away from it when my lease is up in August. GM already put $2000 in it, I sure as hell am not going to continue down that road.
I leased Pontiac Wave from September 2006 to August 2011.
