The headlights depends on which body style you have. If it's the hatchback, than no as the USA got a completely different front end (see picture below).

Yes mine is a 3door hatch and the indicator and headlight are in one unit.
Is there not anyway I can purchase projector headlights?

Tail lights however were identical. Engines for Australia and the US are identical too so yes, the should work.
