Is this quote you have under your post the way you feel or not? 100,000 on it is nothing. BUT, get that timing belt done or the car is going to be done...or a project for someone.... 168,000 mi is great! Anyone out there with 200,000 mi or know someone with that many yet?

It is if you read Consumer Reports Annual Auto edition only 44% of current Aveo Buyers will buy another. I run a paper route in mine and it has 92230 miles I go through more tires than anything I have changed the brakes five times Three times on the OEM Rotors and this is my second on my Replacement ones I always change my rotors after two times changing brakes I Don't turn them because it is a waste of money and I want to live. Changed the transmission fluid but can't seem to find the Filter for it, I listened to my teacher who said every oil change drain transmission fluid and put new back in. so that the transmission doesn't fail.

take it to the dealer, they will service it there, as for the brakes idk, i have just put on drilled and slotted rotors a while back becuase the stock rotors were looking ugly and the pads where still like new, i wouldnt be suprised if they last me another 100k miles, maybe the brakes need to be adjusted too, something else the dealer should look at

speaking of wasting money.. if the transmission stays sealed the tranny fluid would potentially last 60-100k miles.
that is terrible advice from your teacher, the fluid in a transmission does not break down at the same rate as engine oil.

Rabbit, what about the manual transmission? I was thinking on "wasting my money" on replacing it with AMSOil manual transmission fluid, but Chevy dealer said it already comes with synthetic. And, correct me if I'm wrong, I probably won't see any major improvements in my transmission's performance if I change it from GM synthetic fluid to AMSOil synthetic fluid...

Yes the manual transmission already comes with synthetic oil. Actually, the fluid should last the life of the vehicle. The only thing recommend to do is check the fluid level every oil change.

I leased Pontiac Wave from September 2006 to August 2011.
