How much $ do you have into your ride?

I bought my Aveo in 2007 with 11,000mi for 8,400 and added cc and ac (which I don't use) for 1000. Ialso bought 80k mi touring tires for 250 bucks. K&n for $50, It now has 66,000 and nothing but oil changes every 9,000mi and gas. Total= $9700 ..I knewnothing about Aveo's and probably could have gotten a new one for close to that, but not with ac and cc. Happy with it too.

i just picked up my aveo. so i paid 9800 for that.

but as for my sports car, i paid 13,000 for a 2005 cobalt ss supercharged with 43k miles. i put rims and tires, that was 1,300 and rebuilt the top half of the motor to push the car to 270hp and that was 1,500.

      grand total. im broke.

Re: How much $ do you have into your ride?

3900$ for the car itself (salvaged title from a minor front end accident, still has original airbags, not deployed),
around $500 for tabs and taxes and stuff
450$ for the full Drift body kit, L3 fenders, and OEM style CF hood from Versus Motorsport,
      $120 for the spoiler,
      190$ for the H&R springs,
      215$ for the shocks/struts,
around $20 for the camber bolts (tossed those and went with original when one of the bolt heads sheared and the bolt backed out about 3/4 of an inch)
around $400 for the painting supplies,
      $120 for the tint,
      $415 for the sound equipment,
$190 for the clifford alarm w/remote start (refurbished from factory),
      $50 for the gauge overlays,
      $90 for the interior LED's,
      $185 for the halo headlights,
      $125 for LED tail lights,
$200 for two original pairs of HIDs for fogs/low beams (10,000k/3000k),
$26 for the projection fog lights
$142 for the blacked out OEM headlights,
      $70 for the Hella 500FF's fog/driving lights,
      $25 for the protective grille,
around $32 for two sets of protective lens tint to protect from rock chips and such (clear then replaced with smoked),
      $46 for the replacement bulbs high/low H4 HIDs (6000k),
$60 or so for the exterior LED strips,
$750 for the brand new wheels and tires (OTD price),
      around $70 for the alignment,
$616 for all four Ultra Racing bars shipped,
$200 for the custom exhaust (including Twister muffler, piping, Magnaflow tip, and labor),
$387 (after shipping and credit card fee) for xiaogary's long 4-1 header,
      $70 for the K&N cone,
      $65 for the ChromeIntakes Piping,
$50 for the AEM bypass valve,
$28 for the NGK Iridium Spark Plugs,
$36 for the NGK spark plug set,
$225 for the deep cycle optima yellow top battery,
around $60 for the first AMSOil change,
$144 for the badges/lettering, door scuffs, steering wheel badge
$47 for all three Rain-X Latitude wipers,
around $14 for both shorty antennas (one broke while I was washing the car),

I'm sure I'm forgetting a few things here and there, +/- $500 bucks for the little random stuff...

So far I'm at $10,333 (+/-$500, more likely "+" than "-"). Plus gas and such... and countless hours to install that stuff as it got here...

As a matter of fact I'm selling it on the local craigslist for $9,000 to see if I get any responses, if anyone is intersted - let me know... I'd rather sell it to someone who'll appreciate it.

i dont know what svm means. it is a stripped car, but cars are generally cheaper when you by them around certain holidays, like memorial day.

crank windows, no a/c but i can call onstar to unlock the doors!

i really confused my salesman when he was telling me all the benefits of onstar and i said "if it doesnt have power doors how do they unlock it?" we then asked them to unlock it from the parking lot.. they insisted they did.
