I just got an 06 for a grand the only issue is that radio illumination. Other than that it's nice and runs good 200k on the odometer. I actually trade a 1000 dollar truck to it.
About 3 or 4 years ago, I bought my 2010 Aveo Sedan from a dealership for $9,000 AUSD although they were selling it for $10,000. It is a manual and only had 50,000k on the clock. After a few modifications and a li'bit of care, I am very much in love with it!
I bought my 2004 Chevy aveo5 back in 2017 as soon as i got my licence. I paid only $1250 from a teenager who wanted a truck. Car only had 120,000kms and just got a new clutch, new brakes and new suspension.
Got my 2004 Aveo in 2015 and paid 200$ with 173 miles. had to replace head gasket and valve covers. after that runs like a dream still my daily driver to this day!
Last month I bought my 2004 hatchback with around 200,000km/120,000mi, newish tires and the original timing belt (I changed that fast) for $1250 US. Then turned around and found 4 almost-new snow tires on BMW steelies for $100 on craigslist
I paid $0 (that's not a typo) for my 2005 Aveo with about 85,000 miles. It was given to me by a friend because he thought it had serious problems and he didn't want to spend the money on it. I spent a couple of hours and about $100 to fix it into running shape. The paint is gone, bitsi inop and rear speakers destroyed by people jamming stuff into the trunk. I'll fix the bitsi (based on info from this site) and the speakers. Not sure I want to invest in paint.
