its been 6 months since i bought it so i will let you know when i decide to give it its first 1:occasion5:
i washed mine two times since i bought it, in October of 2008? never did the interior..
Not only wash it every week but also a wax.....still looks like the day i bought it! :) :) :)
Once a month in the summer, twice in the winter. From my understanding and research, its actually better to just let your car get dirty in the winter.
You're supposed to wash a car?
In the summer at work I have to wash ever hour to try to make it look like it only have a week of dirt on it.
wash mine like once a week or every time i go to the beach the salt down here is freaking horrible and rusts bare metal pretty much over night
2-3 time a week, wax once every 2 weeks. thats why when i go to sell it ill get top dolla dolla bill yall
My car more often than not is in the garage. Whenever it comes out, I'll wash it before it goes back in. But, I will pull it out at the end of winter and summer for a wash and then a good, full wax job from the Mequirs 3 step and also throw in the ultimate compound and ulitmate polish, maybe even swirl x. I also do tire shine and aluminum polish, as well as full interior cleaning. And go once a month with the Turtle Wax synthetic liquid wax. Although, on a side note, if my car was outside and driven more often, I'd definately wash it once a week.
At the start of the month next month (or maybe the end of this month, since I know it'll be pulled out anyways), I'll definately pull the Aveo out for a good wash. The only reason being that I want to paint my chrome, and touch up some spots on the Aveo. And give it a good wax after the paint settles.
When I am at school in Tampa, maybe once every 2-3 months (unless I park under a tree and get a layer of pollen with a family of bees, I wash it then). Back in Orlando, maybe once or twice a month.
I used to be a nutbar (in retrospect): wash once a week, wax once a month.
Now, wash once a year, maybe twice. I make a point of doing annual spring time trip to the spray wash to get the winter salt & crap off the underbelly though.
Poll results! So far "annually" is tied for second place behind "every 2 weeks". :D
Really!!! Nothing else to talk about?
wheres the option for 'every time it rains'?
every week and wax every month. Some people think its new but its an 06.
I vacuum every Friday, wash every Sunday and wax once a month with Meguiar's Ultimate paste wax. I use the Meguiar's clay bar every six months. I use Sonax rubber maintenance spray on all the door seals, tires and engine parts.
My aveo is getting a vynil wrap. I'm sick of fat girls parking to close to me and rubbing their big asses down the side of my car scratching it with the pins in their jeans pockets.
a vynil wrap? WTF can you take pics as they do this my brother did that to his rims they looked new afterwards.
It's just printed off huge sheets that apply with heat. Then they take them out and laminate them. The laminate is rated for 5 years, I'm doing it for our store logo though. We did it with a convertable 7 years ago and it's just about ready to be re-rwapped. So for between 1400-1600 for the aveo it's way easier than letting the paint get beat up and having to repaint all the time. I'll have them take pics while they do it. I'm not going to be installing it lol.
Great actually. I bought it so I could keep the charger in the garage and because I was sick of working on DSMs all the time to have a good winter car. I even have it lowered and it gets around great. Just use studded snow tires for the winter and you can go anywhere in these little cars.
Ok I just got it done a couple weeks ago, but I've been to busy at work to get time to pull picks from the camera and resize etc.
So here you go. Say what you want, I'm happy with it though.

btw if you look at my garage pics it was blue before. So I really am digging the transition.
is that a wrap? printed? hows the "finish" up close?
That's wild. I once saw a classic Beetle that looked similar - they had DIPPED the entire stripped body in a vat with multiple paint colours floating on the surface to get that kind of effect!
The finish feels just like paint. You can't notice the seems unless you're right next to it. As you can see some of the edges are pixilated, I approved them before they went on the car though, because from 10 feet back it makes it look like the paint is moving when you're driving by.
I wash it once every a year whether it needs it or not. :D
Not only wash it every week but also a wax.....still looks like the day i bought it!) than x for this gevelwerken
heehaw i am already using this :toothy8:
