Ok its me again and here is my other problem. Transmission... When starting out cold it shifts to 3 then takes about 3 minutes to shift to 4th. Is this normal or am I in for an ambush of problems?

have you check the fluid level? Have you checked the fluid. It might be time for a flush. That should fix it.
I drive a manual. I am already out of my expertise. So we need a cold person to comment as I think it's just need time to warm up.
Mine also will not shift to 4th when cold. The fluid is relatively new as well (a year and a half), and is filled to the proper level. Once my coolant temp reaches around 60 Celcius it shifts into 4th.
The automatic is designed to NOT shift into 4th (and also lock up the converter, the shift feels like a 5th) until it's reached a warm enough coolant temp.
I think the hold is more for a "manual-ish" experience. Programming the automatic to not go into overdrive, until it's warmed up is just to prevent wear.
The hold button is also great descending hills. You put the transmission in a lower gear and it keeps the car from running away by using engine idle to help control speed.
