I might need some help...
ok... I got a fuel injection cleaning done "professionally" at Wal Mart, Immediately after, I filled up my tank. I'm about half way empty with 145 miles on it, when usually it would be pushing 200... so basically my mileage went down and I'm also lacking a lot of performance that I previously had. Has any else had this problem I just want to know before I have to take it to a shop to get looked at or anything.
this is also, after I installed the GOAT intake so that could be a problem?
Re: I might need some help...
well there is a way to do it yourself. i have pulled my injectors 4 times now for various things. i can tell you how to do it if you need. its very straight forward, hell, a monkey can do it. but i would need a day or 2 to get you a write up with pics.
Re: I might need some help...
hey mike, just out of curiosity while were on the subject. do you know of any better replacement performance injectors for our cars?
Re: I might need some help...
i sort of know where you can get some. well actually my buddy knows, its a company that you basically send off your injectors to and they make them hi-flo. but for a stock application, u really dont need hi-flos. you are better off buying a neo and a wideband a/f guage *(or a narrowband a/f guage can put you in the general right spot)* and doing that to get your a/f ratio right thru the power band.
Re: I might need some help...
I was just curious as to availabilty of performance parts.
Re: I might need some help...
I'd say take it back to wal-mart, they'll them mechanics are no better than a bunch of freshman in a auto class, at a high school technical center, and that you want a refund.. no offense.. but wal-mart mechanics generally are not the best for anything important.
