      I see WHITE smoke...

I have a '07 Chevy Aveo5 LS. I changed the oil Friday, using Mobil 10w-30 CLEAN 5000 Conventional Motor Oil. Well, Saturday night when I went to start my car, I got all this WHITE smoke from the exhaust. Is this the beginning sign of a Blown Head Gasket? If so, did the oil I used have anything to do with it(1st time using this brand). Please, someone out there in Chevy World help me...

      Thanks

i would go with..check your antifreeze, see if you see oil mixed in with it. thats a cracked head.

check your spark plugs, they tell everything.

the rubber seals on valves is a good guess too.

white smoke is usually antifreeze related eitherway.

is it still smoking or was it a one time thing?

I believe it's a one time thing? I've started it and it doesn't smoke as much, so I'm just kind of watching it.

i was thinking you might have poured your oil in "too fast" and filled the head before it could run down to the oil pan. this would allow oil to seep past the valve seals and into the intake port. Which would blow smoke on start up.
