Import a 2 door Aveo (kalos) to us ? What would it take?

If its even possible to do, due to EPA and crash test ratings. I would really think about doing it.

Does anyone know if it is possible or what it would even take. I have no idea what it would even cost to import a car.

I have thought about this too. I think sport compact car did a write up back in the mid 2000s. I beleive its easier to import the car if it was sold in a country with higher safety standards that are pretty close to ours. I ve seen older skylines nissan sunny gtir' s and such but unless u got the $ to throw away I woulndnt bother. I remember reading somewhere that certain states r easier to get tagged- I think FL is one of these. U could look for a broker to help. 1 more thing in CA it would probably be real difficult cuz of all the bs laws they have. Anyways 3dr aveo is cool or I would grab a vauxhall turbo vxr- close to our aveos just fast-192-240 hp.
