I leased Pontiac Wave from September 2006 to August 2011.
remove your stock intake muffler. drill out the intake for the airbox with a 2.5" bit. Remove the restrictor going from the airbox into the intake. Replace muffler with a higher flowing muffler.
These changes will help a little with power and mpg.
After that, lower the car but retain stock tire size.
Fit a lower belly tray.
buy a prius?

it hooks into your ecu, i noticed a difference considering i got 38 mpg with 50/50 city/hwy. i had it hooked up before a 430 mile trip, never took down my mileage but i know my tank took me alot farther as i do make that trip frequently. i can get more mileage readings if you want but it IMO made a huge difference. sorry i cant answer your question tho as i honestly dont know.Originally Posted by ontarian_frog

yes it will work in open loop, mostly hard acceleration and idle to cruising speed which mostly happens during city driving. It also does help if you do a lot of passing and play with the throttle a lot. But in closed loop with the output of the oxygen sensors being read by the ECU, all modifications will be nullified.Originally Posted by mikedudley17

i dunno, i got a hi throttle and a low throttle setting. the low throttle for like cruisin and such and the hi throttle for accelerating. i know the neo is not designed to really make power but rather help you adjust ur a/f maps to lean out more than enrichen. anywho you may be right...
