Just bought a new Aveo5 SVM

Out the door for just under $8000.

Question:

The finance guy gave me the option of them leaving the dealer installed alarm for $390. What is that about? I didnt take it, and he said they would remove it, but i cant believe they would be able to take out a whole alarm system in the 5 minutes it took from the time i said no, to the time i drove off their lot. Is this something i can activated using an aftermarket alarm system?

Anyways, just happy to get a steal on the SVM and start saving some money at the pumps.

I think if you would have said 'yes' that they would install it for you and take a bit longer for you to drive away. Don't think it was pre-installed.

SVM=special value model. i believe its a very base aveo, no cd player, ac, things like that. all the lil creature comforts you like to have are gone. all you have is a tiny, fun, gas sipper.
