Key fob

I currently have a 2004 Aveo5 with keyless entry. It has the fob built in to the key, and while it works, the buttons are missing. I ordered a blank key to use for the buttons.

Alas, it didn’t work.

My question is, are there any “universal” keyless entry fobs that would work on it?

Your new key would have to be programmed to your car for the locks to work with it.
OR
You can take both keys apart and put the buttons in the key that works. Use the NEW buttons in your old circuit transmitter board in the old key.

What he said. You can go to your dealer or an automotive locksmith to have it programmed.
