I bought my 04 Aveo with 35k miles for $1500. I maybe invested another $500-700 in timing belt, brakes, full tune up, and some other misc parts to get it running good. All in all the car runs great; Ive had it now for almost 3 years and put 30k miles on it.
However, does the car have some issues? Absolutely; the electrical components on it are 15+ years old and my TPS and IAC valve just took a dump on me. Is the car built like ****? 100%, but what do you expect when the car MSRP'd for $10k when a Honda Civic at the time was $16k. This car is/was GM's bare-bones, basic, value car. It is what it is, but I still expect my Aveo to last me another 5+ years/60k miles
Also, in regards to the video; the driver is being pretty harsh on the car when the engine is not warmed up and the Aveo has a defective o2 sensor; so i didnt expect too much.

I just watched the video on YouTube, and it’s actually a channel that I’m subscribed to; he has been spoiled with V8 90s caprices. He pretty much didn’t give us any useful information for us to work with. Like what year or bodystyle. (It has to be at least an 07+, because it has the T-250 interior)

I actually watch him too and I have for years, however I will say this video really did rub me the wrong way especially with how irrationally he was acting. P.s I would definitely say its a 3rd gen 2009-2011, I can recognize the ecotec sound
and you actually guessed correctly; the video uploader actually commented back to me and said it is a very used and abused 2009. (and according to a shot of the odometer, only 94,942 miles on it) and he is going to make a video with a LOT more information for us to use.
well, he finally made the update video explaining all of the issues for us: apparently this one is on its second engine, had a completely fried ECM, and a nuked Maniverter.
