hi everybody, i just started reading here earlier today, I'm getting a new 09 aveo thru the cash for clunkers program and it's just the basic aveo. I'm paying $5650 after tax and everything, I plan to do my own maintenance and maybe add some rims, I bought this car because its suppossed to get like 34MPG.
I will post pics as soon as the dealer calls me to let me know that i can go pick it up.

Sounds like you got a great deal on the Aveo. It may not be the fastest, but you can make it peppy and fun! I'd rather have a car that is all around fun to drive than only good at one thing (like drag racing). So I take it that you got rid of an Eclipse for the Aveo?
nope, still have the eclipse but it's just sitting in the parking lot with a spun bearing. I wanted a car that wouldn't break too often, and hopefully this aveo will last me a long time. dont plan on racing it. and with the money i save on gas and repairs, I WILL FIX THE ECLIPSE :)Quote:

Yep, gas is going up and if you trade in your piece of crap the government will buy you half an aveo. Gee, now it makes sense...these aveo owners might be onto something. :lol:

and the car should be paid for in 2 years. I really wanted
to get the sedan but the local dealer had them for over
2k and the hatchback for $9995.
the hatch is so much better in my opinion
im paying a lot for my aveo, i think the interest rate is 18% :shock:

Nice, I bought my 09 Aveo5 in March for 10,400 US. I'm in alaska though, cars are a little more expensive here. Post up some pics, what color did you get? I think my payments are like 320@15%. My insurance is terrible, it finally just dropped from 320 to 270 a month...too many speeding tickets...among other traffic violations. :lol:

For a 2 year, the insurance is gonna be $107 for full coverage
and I have tickets for speeding And no license tickets.

Was in 04 so that might help a little
And I also have my license In one state
and live in another neighbor state
But also there was a glitch with the dmvs
System and 1000's of ppl got tickets
But they didn't actually go on their file.

just read about this 5 minutes ago and i guess i wont be getting that aveo i want it.
i'm really dispointed because i've been waiting for over 2 weeks to get this car and now that the dealer said they had already sent my paper work they cancel this.
its not that it is cancelled. it is that it is out of money. if your one of the lucky ones that got approved, you still get the deal.
Well I haven't been aproved because somehow they said that there was a gap in registration but I don't understand this because we have owned this car since '06, that's the only thing we are waiting on.
