      Hello there!
Aveos 2003-2011 at least to my knowledge are born in Bupyeong, South Korea, at the Incheon Motor Company plant (formerly GM Daewoo plant).

Hello Randy, Thanks for your info on that. Reason why I ask is because of some of the differences in the same year Aveo's, like Plastic thermostat housing over Aluminum.

My question is this..... Why bounce back an forth between the two part materials if All Aveo's are being assembled at the same plant? I thought maybe some Aveo's where built in the US and not all in Korea?

It was not "bouncing" back and forth, it was until a vin / date. The changes are sometimes also reflective of changes in suppliers.
Believe it or not they just fill a bin with parts that are put on, so if they "top off" a bin with a newer part and there are older versions underneath then the newer ones will be used then back to the old ones until someone tops off the bin again.

There were also some "aveos" built for the local markets that were built in Ukraine, Russia Shanghai and Venezuela.

Since I bought my 07 Aveo5 new in Anchorage AK, I wasn't sure if that could have been the reason behind some of the differences?

I don't know for sure if my Aveo was shipped up from the lower 48 or straight from Korea ?

The shipping port and original dealership order should have been on the window sticker. I think.

Thanks Rabbit, I will take a look when my GF gets home from work later. As crazy as it may be, I still have all that info in the glove box. LOL

My 2010 destined for Canada, was built in Mexico. My previous '04 was built in Korea though.
