Why in the blue hell would you change a nice front end for a retarded and crappy looking one!
if you bought all the parts, you would need to put them on the paint them. I am pretty sure everything bolts together.
but i agree with nemasys.. why? if you do though, i would be interested in your front bumper and headlights.
Of course, all these ideas come in at a time I'm broke. I've always secretly wanted a Daewoo, and I just like the 1st Gen. I was told it looks like a Daewoo Tico, which is the best car South Korea has ever seen! If not, I'll put the 2nd gen sedan front end on my hatchback just for laughs. The Aveo is so awesome, I think there are too many possibile projects. :P
I'll sell you the lights and bumper either way, if I go through with it.
some people just dont like the 2nd gen hatch front, they wanna get like me and my 1st gen :D
Yes! That is the raddest car in Korean history. The Kia Pride comes in a close 2nd.
The 1st Gen Aveo looks like an updated version to me.
the aveo is a daewoo kalos.
Hmm, not to thread jack but not off topic. What about putting a Sedan front end on a Hatchback? I want the carbon fiber hood, but they only make them for the sedans. I'm in a '08.
it seems like it can be done, i havent found any obvious structural changes between the 3 front ends. not that i have torn apart all three.. but i have looked at the body measurement books.
There is a second option, and that's the Pontiac G3/Holden Barina/Suzuki Swift front end. Makes it look like a mini Vibe in Pontiac form and it seems more balanced for the car somehow.

Just throwing that out there at least.
That suzuki front end could go with the 2.0L motor I want to put in.
Can anyone photoshop a 2007+ sedan front on a hatchback ?
I don't know why Chevy didn't use the Barina or Pontiac front and just put in the bowtie. I wouldn't have a problem with it looking like a Vibe; the later model Vibes were very sharp looking.
the aveo front looks better with a proper stance, its a very aggressive front end for a car so small and such a high stock height.
how narrow the car is doesnt help.. but i like the front, that one of the reasons i bought the car.
The top left picture looks like my 2 month old smiling at me after she craps herself.
^^ROFL^^ I would go with a full mesh grill on that suzuki front end, no chrome, just a huge mesh grill.
I have to disagree. Having had both gens, I couldn't stand the front end of the 1st gen. It looked to cheap and plain to me. This current gen has a little bit more style. I especially like the dual front grills, sort of Audi-ish in a way. I can't stand the headlights on the current gen because of those hideous orange reflectors. I'll be blacking them out ASAP.
I have mixed feelings about the second GEN front end. The first GEN can be made more aggressive with very little work.
I'd paint before I put them on, to get the full stock look. Just seems smarter to me.
