I believe it is completely a fluke.... that is likely to continue until they recognize and deal with their technology problems. They've clearly pushed this harder and further than the four competitors I looked at in order to be able offer some of the lowest prices around. I suspect you may still get good results on part numbers that avoid their custom automation (inventory checks, minimum quantity upscaling, etc) that appear to be behind the most significant trouble.

For now, a warning that they can be a time sink to the new user seems fair. I'll gladly modify the post if someone can find a phone number ON THEIR CURRENT SITE - could be buried where I couldn't find it. The point is that a "new member", like me, is likely to have a poor experience with them AT THIS MOMENT.

I'm guessing your $300 order would have also gone elsewhere if it had been loaded with $1,267 of process and handling fees.
