      noisy sway bar bushings

What kind of lube should we use on the sway bars bushings to make the creaking go away? My car creaks when I go over speed bumps, it's a big deal but if I can make it go away I will.

Go to the dealership, ask them for the updated sway bar bushings. About 5$ a piece. I just picked mine up tonight. I'm hoping to have them changed this weekend.
I leased Pontiac Wave from September 2006 to August 2011.

Wow Are you serious... you think I'll get a deal like that for a 2004? I'll look into that early next week for sure or maybe even tomorrow. Thanks for the help!

One more thing are they hard to do? I never attempted anything like this before.

I'm about to do mine and they don't look that hard to get to (I could see and touch them with the car on the ground not even being lifted) so it looks like it's just two bolts holding each one of them down.

And when you're at the dealer have him make sure that they're from 04... 04 to mid-06 was one part number (for 17mm sway bar I believe), then from mid-06 to 07 they went to 18mm sway bar (different size bushings) and in 08 they went to the original part number... wonder why... I like my 18mm sway bar. it's supposed to be 31% stiffer.

They are just in an awkward spot, but doable on the ground. I'll report back later when I have done them. There is also updated control arm bushings... I hope it's just the sway bar bushings squeaking

Ok... I didn't get them done, but I looked at my rear control arm bushings and just by moving (ever so slightly) with my hands and they squeaked! I think they are the culprit.... I will need to jack the car up to get to the sway bar bushings, it will make the job a little more comfortable.

Good point about jacking the car up. I think I will do mine when my Ultra Racing bars come in next week, God willing. I have to order the updated sway bar bushings from the dealer since they didn't have them in stock or drive down to Auburn (about 40 miles south) to pick them up from a local dealer there.

Should these updated bushings get rid of the squeaking?

Well if they are the ones squeaking. I took a look at my control arm bushings and I think they are the ones squeaking. There is a TSB on both.
