Nothing amuses me like hearing the Aveo isn't reliable..

No special treatment, just regular maintenance.

Just viewed a factory- fresh looking 2011 AVEO 5/ 1LT on Kansas City Craigslist with 222,387miles@ asking price of $3500. Thats reliability by my definition!

We definitely need a 200k club; maybe even a 500k club!

Good for you...My 2004 is just over 170,000 miles, 3 timing belt changes, 1 head gasket, and a CEL code of P0440 (evaporative emission control) that I can't seem to resolve,

This is crazy, you just described my 04 as well that is at 199,000. 3 tb changes, head gasket and the same engine code. I also had to replace the thermostat and housing and one radiator hose. (I live in AZ). Other than these, just oil changes and the car is happy and reliable.

At first when I read this I thought, '3 throttle bodies! WTH' then I figured out that you meant timing belts. Lol

A new gas cap solved mine as it wouldn't seal tight
