Question Ok this has got to end...

I thought it was over but I guess not. Yep, today my engine started sputtering and coughing and throwing the hold light and the check engine light into a dancing array on my dash. Again codes for misfires, so I got to wonder what I am missing. I did plugs, check, wires, check, coil pack, check, air filer housing and hose, check and check.... So now what, what other item am I missing? Do you think it might be the O2 Sensor???, Burned Valves????? Midlife crisis???

      All of the above... plus...

Did you clean the EGR Valve?
No obstruction in the exhaust system?
      Fuel Injectors cleaning?

check all the vacuum lines, I had a similiar issue and it was a cracked vacuum line. Literally a less than one cent vacuum line was causing all of it.

Maybe you need to understand how does the engine work.

      1) air is sucked and mixed with fuel.
      2) That air is carefully measured before mixed with fuel.

Any leaks in the air intake after the mass air sensor will cause that balance to out of whack by going too lean. So you need to check all of them.

Anything that looks like a tube into the intake header is suspect.

what kind of fuel injection cleaner are you using? what gas?

it could be your O2. It could be vacuum leaks, the problem is the hold light. From my understanding it only detects misfires from the coil pack, and not the rest of the system. (SOMEONE correct me if i am wrong, but that is where the signal comes from). I would try misting the system while running and make sure everything you did is intact. And if so, we will go from there.

The EGR valve is the cylinder next to the coil pack

if he is misfiring the cel should flash. Provided it's detecting a misfire but still. I highly doubt a bad O2 would cause ALL of that. OP, can you post a video of this happening please?
