How can I get the most out of my new Pepper. I figure I have a 11.9 gallon tank and when I fuel up, usually 8.9 to 9 gallons it costs $23 for roughly 200 miles. Thats like 22 miles a gallon. I wanna get more. I want to do it mself to save money.

22 miles per gallon is on the low side. I usually get around 27-30 and I beat the crap out my car. I used to get around 30-33. So maybe are you doing your MPG calculation correctly?
1) Fill up the car.
2) Set the trip odometer to Zero
3) Drive about a half tank.
4) Fill up the car and save the receipt.
5) Note the miles traveled on the trip odometer and number of gallons of gas. MPG = Miles/gallons.
For example: 157 miles and 5.2 gallons of gas: MPG = 157 miles/5.2 gallons = 30.1 miles per gallon.
6) Reset the trip odometer and write down the results on the receipt.
7) Repeat and set a trend. Extra points if you write down your driving conditions on the receipt.

Its amazing how goofy I am with math. Ok. So today I filled up with 6.7 Gallons, and I was at 199 Miles, this gave me 29.70 Miles, not shabby at all. Beats the van I had by 10 plus miles.
A lot people are goofy with math. I am no expert and could not handle proofs and differential calculus. Ratios I get and that's why I wrote out a procedure. Keep track of it and you can see a trend.
Also if you have a smart phone, there is a bunch of free MPG calculators you can use. I used to use one. It was cool as it kept a max and min.
