the 09 does not have the same 60k miles timing belt issue, our interval is set to 100k.
there is a cruise thread specifically for the 09, you can use the earlier switch as well. You just have to go into two wires in the column.

OK...I went to a nearby dealer and it was suggested that I replace the belt at 60k, don't know if service advisor was just quoting from past history with the 60k belt issues or what, will keep digging and get back with you.
I did find the thread on the 2009 and later cruise control installation and bookmarked it..Thanks for the help.
the 09 engine is completely different than the previous years.
not that there are a lot of 09+ aveos with over 100k to know if failure occurred early. BUT with the service interval at 100k and the 100k drivetrain warranty, as long as you have it checked with the regular service intervals, it should be covered under warranty to that point. (Check with the dealer, get it in writing).
