With that new front end and the side vents I'm not so sure the new 2009 Aveo5 looks too good. IMO, it looks like all the other cars out there especially the front end treatment. I have the 2008 Aveo5 because it is almost exactly as Italdesign created the original design. But, cast your vote!
can we get a preface lift option (ie kalos front end)? honestly i think the aveo looked perfect like that....its hard to compare what the new style looks like in pictures, ill save my vote for when i see one. I do like that it finally got an engine update, but thats not to say the engine i have isn't doing good (~32mpg more city than highway)...i cant wait til we get our first member with one so we can here a personal account
i like the way my 04 looks.
i love my older style sedan. i sometimes get all giggley when i walk up to it in a parking lot lol.
I kind of fancy the 2009, for a couple reasons.
1) more aggressive profile, It has that newer Chevy front end that makes it look like it is about to eat you alive.
2) the headlights are just wicked, and a little evil looking.

im picking up 2009/2010 aveo 2lt with a 5 speed next year for my second car if i can't aford something biger like a jetta or a camry
Loving it so far.. i think the car looks alot more aggressive then the old ones. i had a protege5 before this one and like the front styling.. i found the older aveos to be dated in styling in the front..
the new design is what sold me on the aveo.. not that there is anything wrong with the old one.
of course my last 3 cars were an A4, TT and R32. So i guess i was drawn by the styling cues.
(i know i took a step back, but this very much like driving my 75 rabbit which doesn't come out in winter)
when I was comparing the subcompact cars available in the market the older aveo had the look like it was designed in the mid 90's. like it was a continuation of a geo storm, ford aspire or something. the new aveo is more competitive looking against the hyundai, fit and yaris, look wise. now if only the aftermarket parts were available like they are for those.
