However, that "ancient" Aisan auto tranny has proven to be reliable over time. Compared to more recent and advanced ones (such as CVT) it's not very fuel efficient, except when in lockup mode. But some of us try to own our vehicles 'for the long run'. Probably everything else on an Aveo will fall apart and fail before that A/T does. And that's a good thing.
