I'd be down for getting in on a group buy! I am planning on getting a CAI and the underdrive pulley to start... anything else that would complement those two mods would be great! I heard some people say getting a less restrictive muffler is beneficial... any interest in that? Or advice on the best way to maximize power on the exhaust end?

any muffler that is not 5" wide will do the same, you also want to look into xaio's header as well

I will probably go with less expensive components in particular situations.
But I don't weld, so I am adding extra expenditures in other areas.

Yeah just by looking at the list, he used some expensive stuff, but that would be pretty cool to do

Ya, he did. Ordered the exhaust manifold. Think I am gonna start off with the AEM management and piggyback wiring first.

Everyone goes with the AEM wideband O2 (who I know). IS there a better or less expensive option?

just check the parameters of the o2.

i think the primary obd2 or an obd1 aba or vr6 o2 can be used as a wide band (something like that).. research?

any thoughts on a full set of lightweight pulley kit? a/c bypass pulley? noone makes them in the aftermarket yet because even the 04-07's are too "new"...

a/c bypass is already done, as the car is sold without a/c. So you would just need the belt, and "different" factory pieces if there are any..

maybe i am wrong? but i am not sure having less weight on the rest of the pulleys will help too much, commonly from what i have seen the sets have slightly larger pulleys for the alternator and power steering pump to make up the difference of the size of the under drive crank pulley. mostly its the size and look that make the sets worthwhile.

I personally am going to eliminate my power steering, i am hoping it nets a 5-10 hp difference, which will be lost again since i installed ac. but comfort for the kids is more important than performance. Looking at the system it would be easier on the first gen than the second, but as long as i can find the appropriate secondary serp belt in the length i need, it can be done. If not, maybe i will pull the a/c too, and not need that belt at all.
