      unfortunately the bulb housing connector that you are showing is not what they are talking about.

      they are referring to a module on the firewall by the gas pedal, it overheats, then burns up.

      The issue with the bulb connector is often cause by changing the wattage of the bulbs. What wattage are you running?

      when the current is messed with all sorts of weird stuff happens. ive used nothing but the proper bulbs for my car. having an issues with the control module means that the whole systems at risk and the weakest part of that system happenes to be this connector. most likely cause; a serge of power in the system
