Well this "Honest" Dealership lied to you. The Procedure only pays half an hour to do and should take about 20minutes once the technician has your car in the shop. maybe with waiting it'll take 2 hours, but it's a pretty straight forward repair.

My dad took my Aveo in for me. He was at the dealership for maybe 1 1/2 to 2 hours. But, I also had an oil change scheduled at the same time, so I'd say an hour's work altogether for those 2 things, plus waiting time between them. It probably didn't help that my mom also took her truck in for the parking brake handle (also at the same time, even got an oil change set up right then and there for the truck), and they were sort of waiting to hear what was going on with the truck.

but you also have to Remember: Alexander Chevrolet-Buick-GMC has to Cover a VERY LARGE area of SEVERAL counties, seeing as the Other nearest GM dealers in my area are OVER 30 Miles away!

EDIT: Got that recall done today, and i can already tell a HUGE Difference in acceleration!
