rpms go up, car doest go faster...kinda stutters. exhaust smells like burnt..idk what

It was running lean..that's what dealership diagnosed and fixed

Thanks for the follow-up, but what was the actual work? Sounds like it might have been a sensor replaced or cleaned, but do you know exactly what they did?
