This is a bit odd.
At the 2003 SEMA show, GM showed off the 2004 Aveo in the form of the green Aveo Xtreme show car:

This year's SEMA show just opened, but Chevy didn't bring the next gen Aveo. But they are showing off a Spark:

I wonder if the reason they didn't show the Aveo is because they're still not sure what they're going to call it in North America.
It's weird because we know the Aveo will be produced & sold in North America next year (maybe with a different name badge on it). But the company has not even confirmed the Spark for this market.
On the bright side, for SEMA 2010, Autoblog is saying:
