Shade-tree mechanic frame-pull. some pic's...

Long story short.. (stupid error deleted my long story 3 times)

I'm stuck fixing my aveo for an accident I didn't cause.

Here's the damage from that day...

Back woods frame pull, sorry no close-ups of the inner fender damage. It pulled back reasonably well. Then some hammering and reshaping with some vice grips and needle nose pliers.

Here's what I ended up with today...
$120 for the Turn Signal, Washer Bottle, and Headlight. Fender pounded back. Quite a mess.

I guess I'm going to wait until I find a donor car in the junk yard if I do. So far no luck on a local "Misty Blue" fender from an 06 or 07.

when the 2nd picture was first uploaded (tilted 90 degrees) i had no idea what was going on, i thought you were saying someone did bad work on your car, now that its the right way up, i can see whats going on, and i lol'd a little. good luck on the fender replacement, you may be able to find a spray bottle for your color on the internet or at an auto parts store

I was surprised at how well the technique worked.. must have pulled from 10 different spots and got it mostly back to where it needed to be. About the paint, yeah they sell full paint kit's on ebay,...a color matched spray can primer and clear plus some cloths and sandpaper for 58 bucks. Might go that route. If I buy a new fender at 58 bucks and paint it, it ends up a little more $ than finding a junk yard fender. I need a bumper cover too. So I might just wait to see if a good deal on a color matched car comes up. If not... I might just leave the car as is. It's getting up there in age and mileage .

Might just start saving up for an Elio if they start making them.
