      Slipped timing belt. Bent valves

Hello all, I have a 2006 Aveo and the timing belt has slipped and it has bent all the valves and slightly damaging the pistons. More so on the exhaust side. I'm curious to know have any of you had any good luck replacing the head and timing belt kit? It's been a great little car and has new tires, Battery, alternator and wiper motor. It's in pretty good shape with a few minor battle scars, the interior is very good and everything works as it should. Thanks in advance for your input!!

I’ve rarely seen damage to the pistons. The pistons from the factory have valve reliefs cut into them. So I’m probably wouldn’t worry about that.
I had to replace the head on mine and used a remanufactured head from eBay. Make sure you get the same year head for your car. Also make sure to transfer the oil galley plugs that go behind the cam sprockets. Also make sure to get a new water pump when you replace the timing kit (tensioner, idler, belt).
you will also need new head bolts as they are not reusable. Buy a GOOD name brand head gasket (GM or felpro). Special tools needed are a degree tool for the head bolts and a water pump wrench. I used vice grips to (lightly) hold the belt when installing.

Ok thanks. but what I'm seeing on the pistons aren't reliefs.
