      sluggish acceleration

i recently changed the plugs in my aveo. i found that the old plugs were covered in oil when i pulled them out. i am changing the valve cover gasket soon. does this affext the acceleration?

The new plugs should have helped. but check the wires, it is very easy to damage the wires, and it is also likely if they are oily, then they will short as well.

oil was only on the plugs from the threads on down. thanks for the tip about coil packs and wires i think they are factory and the car has 100400 miles.
