different uses.. this is ceramic like header paint.
a non coated header vs a ceramic coated header can have a big engine bay temperature difference.
the principle is the same for intakes to keep a CAI from absorbing the heat of the engine compartment on the way in.
and from air cooled vw people (4 wheel drum brakes) use it to keep the drums cooler..

i have not seen "dyno" type testing. but i have seen laser thermometers pointed at the drums to show differences in temp.


of course real race people drill a bunch of holes in the drums for cooling too..

I second that idea of a Musical car for your first project car. My first car was a Plymouth Duster, spent many a weekend with my buddies rummaging though the wreckers for parts. She was an absolute beast after I was finished with her. Know one could touch me on the track or street.
I don’t recommend street racing, it almost cost me my license and my car.

So was your duster a musical car?

lol so I found a 94 accord.... for 500, the motor is locked up... So I'm thinking about what I'm gonna do... any suggestions?

Get a JDM H22A engine swap. I think it's 2157cc's? DOHC 16V motor, I think they run about 200hp stock. They run a LSD tranny. You could probably find a used engine and tranny with low miles to transplant or build yourself for about 1600-2000 bucks. Cheaper depending on where you are.

i still think you should buy an older mustang with a V8 if you want power, and the parts are easy to get, very easy

Well i think it has a vtec 2.0 in it already if it's not too major and I can rebuild the motor then I'll keep it, but if not I'd like to find another vtec for either really cheap or if I can't I'll do what you said
