get a kenwood deck, infinity kappa speakers, 1 15" kicker sub, a quality 5 ch amp
Its more fun to drive a slow car fast, rather than drive a fast car slow!
i seen a 18'' sub for 250 lol would that fit in the trunk?
what does channel mean?Originally Posted by deniswhite1
5 speakers. (even i know that)
o ok, i thought so but i want sure( took me a while just to hook up my first system)
please dont listen to his audio advice, there is no way you would get a clean nice sound from that set up, first off brands dont like to be interchanged, find a reliable brand that you like and go with that... kenwood is a nice brand and their headunits are cool, infinity makes nice stuff but lately they have been more worried about their OEM line than their performance line so customer support and price is kinda shady... and kicker is a good company and everyone has had their stuff but its never as punchy as most would want... now a 5 channel amp is the worst idea in all of that due to the fact that a massive 5 channel amp (a good one) would cost over $1000 the reason to not go with a 5 channel amp is the power share of that, you would power all 4 internal car speakers and then atleast 1 sub from it that makes your 1000Watt amp instantly a 200watt amp per channel and thats not RMS the RMS rating would depend on the sub but you could guess it would be around 30watts rms and good luck powering a 15" anything from that power(in fact it would under-power it and strain it and probably blow it)Originally Posted by deniswhite1
sorry to bash but im just trying to help m8
if you are still happy with your headunit you can get 2 Vibe slick 12s for like $300 and a nice amp for another $300 to power them and it would sound nice and be all set
but if you want to go with all new speakers and everything youll need more than $600...
the amount if individual speaker outputs available on the amp but easier said ^^Originally Posted by petrified.rabbit
im keeping my headunit for sure, ill just stick with fusion
there are 4 stock speakers in the car right?
Audison makes awesome 5 ch amps, infinity speakers sound better then alot of more expansice staff, who cares about there custumer support i had 3 sets of infinities and never had to call em. i don't know were your geting your facts , but im speaking from experiance and electrical enginiring backroundOriginally Posted by tidus10
