The vibe is part toyota so they are toyota owners, typical toyota owners :)

why would they want to put a bodykit on a crossover?
Because the vibe is awesome, look at it, who would not want one? I think we are the idoits who own aveos, the vibe is so much better than anything I could fathom.
With all sarcasm to the side, I do not know why they would want a bodykit, maybe to cover up that ugly plastic trim? The second gen vibe looks good though, but is similar to the second gen aveo as well in my eyes.
Should go on there and ask if they liked the recalls the vibe/matrix has gone through...
Screw that discussion, there will always be haters... When we should be spreading peace and love...So which body kit are they talking about? I think body kits for the aveo has been around since 2007 when I bought my aveo.
Its not like the bodykits are any good, I do not know why the vibe owners would want so much rice?

i just hate the plastic molding all over the car, looked at a couple on their forum and just laughed. the aveo itself has an ok following, but our car class is pretty big in the car world, at shows i see alot of fits, yarise's, xa/xb/xd, a cube or two, some real clean SVT's
The pontiac vibe and toyota matrix were assembled in the same assembly plant (a GM plant). the vibe has a toyota engine in it.Quote:

Even I'll admit the Aztek isn't a looker. I like it for the drivetrain (AWD V6 FTW!) and the features it has. My dad has a friend who bought one and loved it so much, he bought another Aztek for his wife.
My wife has a 2004 Vibe and I have a 2010 Aveo. The vibe has been a fantastic vehicle and is in AWD trim. I didn't like the plastic trim at first but it has proved to be a saving grace over the 5 years. Only 1 recall for window shatter and some brakes. Love the Vibe. The new ones look droopy and sad :(
Each vehicle has it's own appeal and reason for being. Well except the caliber. So live and let live!

The above Aztek is not only painted and lowered on big rims (which are too big IMO), but it also has an all wheel drive V8.
that aztek is not on airbags, if it went up the wheels would hit the re-arched wheel wells..
oh good call did not see those wheel wellls until a second look, this must be the pontiac gt concept car or something, or someone fabbed that kit up, its defiantly a one-of

true but it does dispell the myth that all Aztek's are ugly.
It's not a myth it's a matter of opinion, although that aztek does look good for what it is. In my opinion.

the one you pictured i would probably drive around, i like the front, just the hatch isnt my taste, but every car has features like that, for instance the USA aveo headlights:(
Oh so every car has a split folding tailgate, flip down speakers from the rear hatch, a tent that attaches to the hatch, available All Wheel Drive and radio controls in the trunk? Yea right *rolls eyes* And I don't mean the show car. There are other unique features but I figured that would do. I like the Aztek cuz I consider it the ultimate outdoor party vehicle. Aftermarket for the car specifically, no. The engine, yes. There's LOADS of aftermarket for the 3400 V6 thanks to the popularity of the N-body Pontiac Grand Am, and W-body Chevrolet Impala and Monte Carlo. The U-body that the Aztek uses was originally based on the W-body so compatability isn't really an issue. If you wanted to hot rod the engine of an Aztek, that's definitely doable. As for the looks, all it takes is a bit of work and a fully painted body in a metallic color.
