I have bought from GM Parts Direct in the past and I thought they were ok. I had to replace my lower AC line from the pump and I was told the GM replacement line didn't have the O-rings with it. So I called my local GM dealer to get the new O-rings and since they didn't have any on hand they would have to order them in. Not a problem I thought until I was told I had to buy the whole pack of 10 O-rings because that's how they were sold.
So I contacted GM Parts Direct and ordered in one of each size I needed and all was good! BTY.... When the new GM replacement AC line showed up to my door, it had both O-rings on the line. So I am guessing the GM parts guy must have been a NEWBIE ?
I had good luck with Flow chevy as well (gmpartsdirect). FYI the WP seal is even cheaper after market and is just an O-ring. Should not be more than a buck or two unless it's the dealer. I always assume the parts counter guys either lie, or are just ignorant. Selling auto parts out of dealerships is more about profit than purpose. Buyer beware.
I feel lucky I guess we have a huge GM hub down the road that services the dealers, but you can go to it directly.
If looks almost like a fedex facility. But they have decent prices and no shipping.
I used to live in Raleigh about 4 miles from CARQUEST Headquarters. Yeah, I know that feeling you go to the "source" and soon parts arrive. When I was rebuilding my truck engine it was a godsend. Now I live in the boonies. At least I don't have to put up with traffic.
