I resolved the same issue on my '05 by replacing the vent valve/solenoid with a boneyard part. They can also be tested before replacing.

I've also had that same problem before. After replacing gas cap, purge valve, vent valve, the code came back. Only after I replaced the canister itself did the problem go away completely. Be warned, they can be expensive.

yeah. I just took the wheel off for a quick look and everything seems to be kosher under there. Tube into vent valve from canister, tube out of canister to atmosphere.
Guess I’ll clear the code for now and start looking for a new vapor canister as I’m told they go bad due to the (poor) location.
